TYPE: Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG Riserva
PRODUCTION AREA: Includes the hilly territory of the municipality of San Gimignano in the province of Siena. Soils are of Pliocene origin; vineyards are planted on tuffaceous and clayey soils.
GRAPE VARIETY: Vernaccia di San Gimignano 100%
PRODUCTION – VINIFICATION: Hand-harvested grapes, gently pressed, aged for about 11–12 months in French oak tonneaux with periodic batonnage. The wine is then bottled and rested for 3 months before release.
ORGANOLAPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:
Color: rich straw yellow with greenish hints, tending toward a rich gold.
Aroma: citrus and fruity notes of peach and apple.
Taste: rich, fresh, balanced and persistent.
Alcohol content: 13%
Pairing: crustaceans and oysters, baked fish, saffron dishes, blue and creamy cheeses, white meats prepared in various ways.
Serve: 8–10°C
